Hoxton meets Holborn

We need more time! To do what we like, to walk nose-up, to start new projects, but also continue them. Discover, explore, take pictures or just to sit on the couch of a cafe observing life unfolding from a window.

So take an unconventional Sunday and head to Holborn.

The newest addition to the family, joining Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch is The Hoxton Hotel in Holborn. Not the first cool hotel in the area of recent times (ME London is just down the road), this hotel has boldly arrived and made it clear it is here to stay.

As you walk inside, the sofa area – clearly reminiscent of the east branch – is ideal for casual meetings or for a coffee with-a-Mac-on-the-lap.

If you are willing instead to indulge yourself in some food therapy, just head straight behind the lounge area to The Hubbard & Bell Cafe’ Bar and Grill. A cozy brooklyn grill style grub signature of Soho House Group, with a bar counter open kitchen (watching chefs cooking is just enchanting to me ) and a sectioned menu.

In fact, you can choose from eggs, fish, grill, pasta & salads, veggies, Burgers and the very typical Sunday Roast – which I promise – it comes in a GIANT size and looks just luscious!

The menu is simple, but for for all tastes. Loved it. Also it does not attack your wallet.

Me and my partner in crime we opted for fillet steak and eggs, avocado on sourdough with eggs and pistachio and leeks with taleggio cheese and caramelised onions. All were cooked to perfection. Absolutely Top-notch.

…and if you are looking for a healthy kick-off go for a House Press juice. We had the GREEN and the REDl…Lush! By Valentina.
